I am currently painting two bodies of work: The Magic Series and The Muse Project. The Magic Series explores our memories of childhood. Particularly, the behavior that is unique to a child. Whether it is the joy of twirling in circles, hiding in a secret place or the sparkle of a toy. As with my other work, this series explores abstracting the figure and its environment. I am keeping my edges soft to create a dream like environment, a soft memory or a feeling that lightly touches you.

The Muse Project explores a new paradigm shift, what is a modern day muse? In ancient times the Greeks developed a series of muses that explained the creation of all things. There was a muse to inspire all of your new endeavors and to guide you in uncharted waters. Some how over the ages we have lost our muses, and we no longer have tangible beings who represent inspiration. I have taken up the enormous task of recreating the muses and bring them into our modern times.
