Abstract Paintings and Fine Art

					Nature Abstracts














					With this group of paintings I am taking elements of nature and abstracting them. The top six are more traditional landscapes of the Oregon coastline. In these abstracted landscapes I work with thin washes of oil paint and add layers of cold wax on top to give them depth and richness. Each of these landscapes capture a special moment that is characteristic of the Oregon coastline. The bottom six are a combination of paintings and drawings where I have taken aspects of nature and totally abstracted them.
