I am a seasoned creative professional with over 25 years of experience, my track record spans multiple disciplines including portraiture, fine art, illustration and teaching. I have received accolades for my work from the Pastel Society of America, Art Directors Club of New York, Society of Illustrators in Los Angeles, Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, CA Magazine, the Pastel Journal and Campaign Papers. My work has also been collected by public institutions for cities and universities. This includes an 80 foot mural that I did for the City of Rancho Cucmonga in California.
My clients include numerous private patrons across the United States and Canada. I have also worked with several Fortune 500 clients such as American Express, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, and ITT. My experience includes working with some of the world’s premier agencies, such as Pentagram, Grey Advertising, Landor, Foote Cone & Belding, and Chiat/Day.
I am crazy about education, just can't get enough of it. I began my education with traditional art history, including studying in Europe at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, with extensive study at the Louvre, as well as the London Polytechnic Institute with work at the Tate Gallery. In the fall of 2003, I studied art in Russia. I hold a BFA from Art Center College of Design and a MFA from the Art Academy of Art University. I currently lead at least one art tour a year to some out of the way place that has artwork I want to study. In 2011 I will be going to Russia to tour all the major galleries and museums. In 2012 I will be taking a group to Austria in search of Gustav Klimt's work.
